SLE at Tropentag 2024 in Vienna

Join our workshop on: "Forgotten crops, overlooked actors and participatory research: unlocking the potentials of value chains for transforming food systems"?

Are you attending the Tropentag 2024 in Vienna and are interested in exploring the transformative power of science-practice partnerships in the development of agro-food value chains, with a particular focus on underutilised species?

Description of the workshop:

The transformative power of science-practice partnerships in agro-food value chain development will be explored, with a particular focus on neglected and underutilised species. The ValueLinks methodology and the Participatory Hotspot Analysis, which includes value chain mapping, food product scoping and methods to enhance social inclusion and ecological intensification, are presented and discussed along practical examples of the baobab value chain. Other neglected species may be discussed in workshops.
