Our work

Our work

The work of the SLE goes far beyond that of a traditional university institute: we combine science and practice in a unique way. Whether in our research projects, the content of our prestigious postgraduate program or our extensive range of training courses - we offer scientifically sound analyses, apply research methods in a clever and target group-oriented way, communicate at eye level, develop context-specific recommendations for action with and for our cooperation partners and focus on experience-based learning.

SLE STUDIES

For more than 60 years, we have been offering the renowned postgraduate program "International Cooperation for Sustainable Development" as an advanced certificate course. The SLE study program combines academic excellence with practice-oriented approaches. Every year, it enables 20 young professionals to acquire sound knowledge in the field of international cooperation and to position themselves in this professional field. The close combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application enables graduates to develop and implement effective solutions to global challenges. You can find more information about our study program here.

SLE PROJECTS

As university institutions, we carry out research projects lasting one or more years. Our Joint International Research Projects (JIRPs), which are realized as part of the SLE degree program, are a special feature. SLE participants work on development policy issues together with young professionals from partner countries and under the guidance of experienced team leaders. The co-financing by international cooperation organizations shows the practical relevance. Find out more about our projects here.

SLE TRAINING

As part of our further training program, we offer English-language training modules for international specialists and managers. This training program ensures an effective transfer of knowledge. . You can find more information about our training program here.
